How Do I Get Started?

Growth Coaching

Growth Coaching helps you close the gap between where you are and where you want to be. One of the most effective ways to grow is through intentional, forward-focused conversations with a coach. Your trained Growth Coach asks questions that help you explore the biggest questions you’re facing. Here are just a few of the topics we’ve helped people explore:

Coaching is not counseling, mentoring, or consulting. It is a series of question-based conversations between a trained coach and someone open to pursuing growth and progress in their life. Talking with a coach evokes new awareness, opens up possibilities, removes barriers, and leaves you with a practical, doable action plan.

Sunday Morning Worship & Learning

Traditional Worship at 8:30am
Learning Time at 9:45am (September-May)
Contemporary Worship at 11:00am

Worship is relaxed and lasts around an hour. While in worship, you can expect to sing about who God is and what God has done, hear how to apply God’s word to your life in the coming week, share in God’s holy meal (communion), and pray together.

At 9:45am., children and youth gather to explore living a life of faith, while adults have the opportunity to gather for fellowship (some people use this as an opportunity to meet with their Connection Group or Growth Coach). During this time, questions are welcomed, encouraged, and expected. By gathering together, we learn from one another’s experiences and grow in love and concern for the people around us.

Faith in Action

Faith in God isn’t just something to think about; it’s something to act on. One of the ways we do that is by serving together as a church family. So we commit to serving together in our neighborhoods and communities. Each month, we have a Faith in Action event, and then each year, we set one weekend aside for service. Check out our upcoming events and take action!

Who Is Redeemer?

Redeemer Church

Redeemer Church is a small Christian congregation in Park Ridge, Illinois. We believe that God is already at work everywhere, putting the world back together into a place of peace, love, and joy. We believe that actively following Jesus lets us participate more fully in the work God is doing. And we believe that following Jesus and being a part of that work simply makes life better, for everyone.

We live in a world where people divide themselves over all sorts of things. We can do better. We want to be a community who embraces the “messy middle,” where people from various backgrounds and perspectives gather together to love, challenge, and encourage one another to imitate the life of Jesus Christ. This desire to live like Jesus is foundational to our desire to grow spiritually, share our faith with the people around us, and serve those in need.

Redeemer Church is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We partner with other ELCA congregations to start and support local congregations and ministries, respond to natural disasters, and fight disease and hunger around the world.

Our Team

One of the great strengths of Redeemer is that we’ve been blessed with a remarkably large number of leaders. Since space doesn’t permit us to show them all, we’ll simply introduce you to our staff.
