Worship is relaxed and lasts around an hour. While in worship, you can expect to sing about who God is and what God has done, hear how to apply God’s word to your life, share in God’s holy meal (communion), and pray together.

During the school year, at 9:45am on Sundays, kids and youth gather to explore living a life of faith. Adults are invited to participate in a Bible study or discipleship class. (Some of these involve signing up ahead of time, but there’s always a Bible study that anyone can drop in on.) In all of these gatherings, questions are welcomed, encouraged, and expected. By gathering together, we learn from one another’s experiences and grow in love and concern for the people around us.

Faith in God isn’t just something to think about; it’s something to act on. One of the ways we do that is by serving together as a church family. So we serve together in our neighborhoods and communities. We work together on Love Your Neighbor projects throughout the year, and then once each year, we set aside a Faith in Action weekend for service.

Redeemer Church is a Christian congregation in Park Ridge, Illinois. We believe that God is already at work everywhere, putting the world back together into a place of peace, love, and joy. We believe that actively following Jesus lets us participate more fully in the work God is doing. And we believe that following Jesus and being a part of that work simply makes life better, for everyone.

We live in a world where people divide themselves over all sorts of things. We can do better. We want to be a community where people from various backgrounds and perspectives gather together to love, challenge, and encourage one another to imitate the life of Jesus Christ. This desire to live like Jesus is foundational to our desire to grow spiritually, share our faith with the people around us, and serve those in need.

Redeemer Church is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We partner with other ELCA congregations to start and support local congregations and ministries, respond to natural disasters, and fight disease and hunger around the world.
